The Basset
May. 16th, 2012 09:37 amEvery morning on my way to work I see a number of regular things, one of them is a big old basset hound. I assume he has an invisible fence, because he never leaves his yard, despite the lack of a physical fence. On the way home, I sometimes see him baying happily when his owner comes home. A-ROOOOO! A-ROOOOO!
Yesterday, I saw him lying by the side of the road and I was sad all day. He projected such personality even to a casual spotter like myself.
Apparently, my grief was misplaced. The basset hound had CHOSEN to sleep by the side of the road. Today he was sitting happily near the same spot, watching the cars go by!
