May. 23rd, 2000 09:44 pmTired. Brain dead. Sometimes I can't believe how much people work at my new company. The graphic artists are there before I come in (between 6:30 AM and 7:00 AM) and are still there when I leave (between 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM). Plus they are there on the weekends!
Our deadlines are stacked so we have projects in every phase -- development, review, beta, final delivery.
In all phases, graphics are being created, tweaked, changed. They've hired more and more artists and more and more developers, but it takes time to bring people up to speed.
So where am I in all this? Tired, people, tired. I'm getting paid decently for a change and getting paid for the extra hours, but I'd rather have my leisure time back! If I can stick to my schedule, I should finish with several days to spare. Then I can experience a brief return to those halcyon days of loafing like I used to have!
Had a thought about the cam lately, something stupid, like running it off-line and uploading the pics at night. Too stupid? Defeating the purpose? I dunno, but I miss having it, I miss the interactivity of the web. Things are locked up tight around here and I want to play it real straight.
